Away or vacant? Your Upper Providence trash bill is still due
Every household in Upper Providence Township is required to pay for trash service, even if the home is empty or no trash is put out. The only exception is a home that’s been deemed uninhabitable with its utilities disconnected.
This includes periods when the service isn’t being used, such as while you’re away on vacation or while a home you own sits vacant long term.
Official clarification from Upper Providence Township
“Council secures a Township wide contract for residential properties. Every single household has to pay the trash bill, even if no trash is collected. The only way to be removed from making payments is if the home is deemed uninhabitable, and the utilities are disconnected.”
